Product Development - Upholstery

Summary Job Description

This position is responsible for developing upholstery samples and making patterns for the production and manufacturing of upholstery items.

Essential Duties

• Will be working with product managers and engineers to develop upholstery items
• Will be making patterns for production, both hard patterns and CAD patterns
• Must have a full range of knowledge of the upholstery manufacturing process
• Create manufacturing specifications for cut, sew, upholstery and frame building
• Ability to communicate with outside vendors
• Works with minimal supervision and able to meet deadlines
• Overtime may be required at times
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
  
  

Position Requirements

• Basic CAD experience required
• Basic computer experience required
• Minimum 5 years in upholstery manufacturing with an understanding of pattern making and product development

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
