As a Refrigeration / HVAC Service Technician here at The Nelson, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, through daily service maintenance, performing diagnostic reviews and identifying the root cause for any needed repairs.

Job Description :

Performs a variety of repair and maintenance duties on all heating and cooling systems on and around club property.
Troubleshoots units that are not working and replaces parts (e.g. compressors, capacitors, coils, fan motors, etc...) that are defective.
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on all ice machines.
Ensure all repair and PM logs are kept up to date and orderly.
Ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently and as originally intended per manufacturer and company standards.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; supports the team to reach common goals.
Understands and adheres to the job description and department service standards.
Follows all company policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean and professional personal appearance; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information and protects company assets and investments.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Education :

Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.

Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Must be available to work a flexible full time schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Understanding and ability to troubleshoot the following :

Refrigeration Units

Rooftop Units

Air Handling Units

Heaters and Boilers

Cooling Towers

Ice Machines

Walk-In Coolers / Freezers

Chilled Water Units

Ability to interact with club members and associates in a manner representative of the club and its employee standards

Must have basic computer skills (email, etc.).

High School diploma, GED required.

EPA Refrigeration or HVAC-R Certification a plus.

College or Technician Certification in HVAC / R or Refrigeration a plus

A minimum of 2 years prior Refrigeration / HVAC maintenance experience is strongly preferred but not required.
