What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Tennis Pro - The Nelson position at Century Golf?
Job Summary :
The Junior Tennis Pro will perform a variety of tasks in a tennis or pickleball instruction setting including recreation activities, tennis, pickleball, and potentially overseeing swimming.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Plans and leads activities in the specific fields of tennis and pickleball.
Enforces racquet sports rules and regulations and proper court etiquette and ensures safety in the facilities.
Performs first aid following prescribed procedures and contacts emergency medical personnel when required by the situation.
Demonstrates use of racquet sports equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity.
Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other kids; explains facility rules.
Reports juniors or parents' complaints to leadership and works to resolve issues.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to learn and enforce the club and activities' safety and operating rules.
Must attend staff meetings and orientation.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with children preferred.
Tennis experience required. (must have played at high school or college level)
Must pass reference checks, background and drug screenings
Physical Requirements :
Ability to swim preferred.
Able to participate in all tennis and pickleball games offered.
Able to maintain attention and high level of energy or excitement for extended periods of time.
Must be able to spend majority the of time outdoors and tolerate a variety of weather conditions.
