Senior Internal Auditor

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will delve deep into the inner workings of our company, gaining comprehensive insights while collaborating directly with management across various departments. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our internal controls and providing strategic recommendations through thorough cross-functional assessments. This position is hybrid. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $115,000 to $150,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing risk assessments and develop annual audit plans for designated organizational areas.
• Execute financial, operational, and compliance audits as per the established plan.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to incorporate their input and align audits with their priorities and value expectations.
• Clearly communicate audit findings through well-documented observations and relevant supporting information.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of conclusions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with key second-line risk functions to design and execute comprehensive audits, maximizing risk coverage while minimizing organizational impact.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and communicate delays promptly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, accurate, and detailed reports, workpapers, and process flows. Proficient in conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  
  

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong skills in SQL, ACL, or other data mining software are highly desirable.
• Background in external/internal audit; prior experience with a Big 4 or similarly large public accounting firm is preferred.
