Position: Asset Manager
Century Housing Corporation is a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution
(CDFI) supporting quality affordable home development throughout California. With offices in
Culver City, Long Beach, and San Francisco, Century provides innovative end-to-end financing
from predevelopment to permanent loans. In addition, Century has both real estate development
and service provider arms which together with financing seek to address the affordable housing
and service needs of a diverse income range of projects and residents. Century and its three main
enterprises are all 501 ©-3 entities.
Position Overview
The Asset Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of affordable housing loans spanning
predevelopment, acquisition, construction, and permanent financing. This position plays a crucial
role in managing loans through their entire lifecycle, from post-closing through repayment,
ensuring both strong portfolio performance and advancement of our affordable housing mission.
Core Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
The Asset Manager serves as Century's point of contact for borrowers, sponsors, and external
partners while overseeing all aspects of loan performance. This includes conducting regular
monitoring reviews, evaluating financial performance, tracking covenant compliance, and
maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Construction Loan Administration
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Construction Inspector and assists with
the management of the construction loan disbursement process, including review and approval of
draw requests, monitoring of project budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with loan
documentation and regulations. The Asset Manager works closely with construction teams to
support successful project completion within established parameters.
Credit Analysis and Risk Management
The role involves ongoing analysis of borrower and project financial health, preparation of regular
credit reviews, and development of risk rating recommendations. The Asset Manager evaluates
multiple factors including operating performance, market conditions, and compliance with loan
terms to assess and monitor credit quality.
Special Assets and Workout Management
For underperforming loans, the Asset Manager develops and implements workout strategies in
partnership with the Credit Team and senior management. This includes conducting site
inspections, financial analysis, and structuring loan modifications when appropriate.
Portfolio Reporting and AnalysisThe position supports organizational reporting requirements by providing portfolio data and
analysis for internal stakeholders and external parties including rating agencies, government
entities, and the CDFI Fund.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum two years of experience in affordable housing finance, with focus on credit
analysis and loan management
• Strong understanding of financial analysis for both for-profit and nonprofit housing
developers
• Knowledge of affordable housing funding sources including LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds,
and government subsidies
• Experience with loan documentation and basic business law concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
• Bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning, business administration, or related field

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
• Location: Hybrid with base in Culver City, California.
• Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary Range: $100k-125k
