JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Loan Administration of Lending, the Sr. Loan Administration Officer (“SRLA”) is responsible for the loan due diligence, closing and recordation of loan transactions such as predevelopment, bridge, acquisition, line of credit and construction loans.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Upon receipt of assigned loan approval, SLAO/Closer will coordinate contact with the Loan Officer and Borrower/Borrower’s contact the introducing of the SRLA/Closer and the processing necessary for the funding and closing of the approved loan.

SRLA/Closer will obtains and analyze necessary due diligence information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, insurance, borrowing resolution authorization, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. SRLA responsibilities include heavy interface and coordination with the loan officers, borrowers, closing calls, Century legal, site inspectors, appraisers, Century accounting, loan documents and revisions, title, and escrow officers to mitigate risk, update Agiloft, and complete the loan closing package and process.

After loans have been funded, the SRLA will deliver original final executed loan documents to legal attendant, monitor loan maturity, construction progress and periodic communication with the Borrower to insure the loan terms are in compliance with the loan documents as executed and recorded.

LOAN ADMINISTRATION – 90%

  1. Attend loan committee meetings.
  2. Review loan structure for preparation of due diligence requests.
  3. Coordinate and compile due diligence.
  4. Input due diligence electronically to Agiloft loan file.
  5. Request and review third party reports for risk prevention and mitigation strategy (if required).
  6. Request and review loan and related loan documents.
  7. Input loan funding needs through CRM (Agiloft) for Accounting notification and cash-flow requirements.
  8. Coordinate funding and recording with escrow and title companies (determine indemnification notification as needed).
  9. Coordinate loan documents and budget approval execution with Loan Officer and Borrower(s).
  10. Prepare Funding request & Worksheet for wiring of funds.
  11. Prepare and circulate Pre-closing letter for approval.
  12. Interact with the following entities to assure a successful closing:
    • Borrower(s)
    • Borrower closing calls
    • Appraiser
    • Title Company
    • Escrow Company
    • Legal Department
    • Loan Officer
    • Accounting
    • Capital Facility designee(s)
    • Site Inspector(s)

POST CLOSING – 10%

  1. Follow-up with Escrow & Title that the Lender’s escrow instructions have been adhered to.
  2. Coordinate with Escrow & Title on receiving certified copies of recorded documents.
  3. Follow up with Title receipt of final Lender’s Policy.
  4. Prepare & forward copies of complete signed loan documents to borrower.
  5. Review and prepare working files for storage in electronic files for both the loan facility and the legal files.
  6. Adhere to conditions of the Capital facility investor’s reporting requirements as outlined in the facility agreement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to interact with colleagues, clients, and vendors in an effective, friendly manner giving a positive, professional image of the Corporation. Ability to work with all corporate personnel at all levels.
  • Skilled in internet research.
  • Skilled in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), relational database (CRM), and Agiloft.
  • Must have accurate keyboarding and proofreading abilities.
  • Adept at maintaining accurate files and records for documentation
  • Skilled in preparing basic letters and memorandums.
  • Experienced in prioritizing and multitasking
  • Practice flexibility to meet team and client needs.
  • Ability to remain in control of the many demands of a professional office.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in demanding, time-sensitive situations
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to keep established hours of operation with excellent attendance and on-time arrival.
  • Ability to work some overtime on relatively short notice
  • Some local travel may be necessary, must have access to reliable transportation

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with 5-10 years’ experience in commercial banking or legal/and escrow group. An alternate combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Familiarity with affordable housing lending a plus. Second language is an advantage but not required.

Job Location:

Culver City, California 90230 with some hybrid work available. This is not a remote work position.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly compensation $40.85-$50.50 with fully paid benefits including single/ family medical, dental vision, life/AD&D, LTD, retirement plan with 5% match and fully funded flexible spending account. Paid holidays, PTO, paid professional development, college tuition up to $5,250 annually, and a college loan payment assistance program available.
