RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE Training Development Recruiter Specialist
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Training Development Recruiter Specialist with a strong background in both talent acquisition and training program development. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent for positions within the HVACR industry while also developing, delivering, and managing training programs that align with our company’s strategic goals. This dual-focus position requires strong expertise in recruitment, instructional design, and training program execution, with an emphasis on creating impactful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and update targeted job descriptions for roles within the HVACR industry, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
- Source candidates through social media, professional platforms, and other online channels.
- Utilize reliable recruiting tools and techniques to screen, interview, and assess candidates, ensuring efficient filtering and selection.
- Promote job openings across the company’s careers page, social media platforms, job boards, and internally to maximize visibility.
- Compile shortlists of qualified candidates for hiring managers and facilitate the job offer process.
Program Development & Training Delivery:
- Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to develop, implement, and track training programs aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Travel to branches (up to 25% travel time) to conduct regular training sessions and workshops.
- Conduct needs assessments through job analysis, career path evaluations, and manager consultations to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to create and manage the training budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Develop comprehensive training materials (guides, handouts, instructional videos) by leveraging internal subject matter experts and external resources.
- Organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and other educational initiatives, communicating these events across the organization.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs and instructors, recommending improvements for scaling and sustaining impact.
Collaboration & Industry Awareness:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in training, development, and the HVACR industry, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure training programs meet organizational needs and drive employee performance.
- Maintain a centralized database of all training materials, employee progress, and performance records.
- Manage training logistics, including venue coordination, equipment setup, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team to support organizational training and recruitment goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field; or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Training Coordinator, Learning and Development Specialist, or similar role within the HVACR industry or distribution sector.
- Solid understanding of instructional design theory, adult learning principles, and training delivery methods.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong experience in talent acquisition, including recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, and interview techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with strong planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop training materials and manage training logistics effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- At least 5 years of related experience in recruitment or training development, with a stable work history and local residence.
- A background in HVACR recruitment and a proven track record of applying diverse sourcing techniques, including referral programs, is highly desirable.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
