What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Communities Manager position at CENTURY SALES AND MANAGEMENT LLC?
Century is looking for a proactive, collaborative, and reliable individual to become our next Assistant Communities Manager in the Lincoln area. You will work directly with our Community Division to help the team optimize rental income, maintain property standards, help individuals find their new homes, and provide an exceptional living experience across our Community portfolio!
Major areas of responsibility include:
- Assists Century Community Managers at their Communities including office coverage and leasing
- Assisting Senior Manager and Director of Community Management at the Home Office
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assists Community Managers with duties and fills in at communities in Managers’ absence.
- Field leasing calls for communities and follows up on leads, conduct unit tours, and reviews basic information on the application process to the prospect as needed
- Answer resident questions, ensure maintenance requests are assigned and completed quickly and to a high standard, and make general contact with residents when seen on the property
- Enter work orders, contact, and manage any outside vendors, if necessary
- Ensures the grounds of the community, including all public and private areas are kept tidy
- Engage and follow up with the community manager to operate in everyone’s best interest and line with existing policies and procedures.
- Assists with specific projects as needed
- Assists Senior Manager(s) and Director with administrative duties and projects
- HUD and REAC inspection assistance
- Commuting to Communities to collect rent payments and bringing them to the corporate office
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements include strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to be adaptable, and maximize priorities with multiple disruptions, and an understanding of the legal language as it relates to policies, procedures, applications, leases, etc. High level of organization, flexibility, and dependability. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. Previous industry experience is preferred, especially leasing, and general industry knowledge in software and fair housing will help get you going on the right foot! Pay will be based on industry experience.
A full benefits package including PTO, Health, Holiday, and 401k is available for this non-exempt position. Commissions are also given based on apartment units leased.
