What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Technician position at Century Security & Communications, Inc?
At Century Security & Communications, Inc., we're looking for a person willing to learn and is physically able to perform tasks such as pulling wire, ladder and lift work and work with power tools. Century Security & Communications install security systems, camera system, card access systems, telephone systems, data cabling/fiber, intercoms, paging and fire systems. We service all of Wisconsin so there will be times you will need to work out of town or stay over night where a job is located. Most days we are in Southeastern Wisconsin.
We train while on the job as well as some on site and off site training. You will be an apprentice for two years while you are learning all the systems we install unless you have past experience in this field. Must have a valid Wisconsin driver license. Must pass a background check.
We need high school diploma. Some college is good.
Summary
As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various security systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, and low voltage systems. Reporting to the Security Manager, your core skills in schematics and cabling will be essential in ensuring the effectiveness of security measures. Your premium skills in computer networking and system design will enhance our security infrastructure. With a high school diploma or GED required, along with a valid Wisconsin driver's license, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organization while contributing to a secure environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair security systems, including CCTV and fire alarms.
- Utilize hand tools and cabling techniques to ensure proper system functionality.
- Interpret schematics and electrical layouts to troubleshoot issues.
- Provide field service support and conduct system design assessments.
- Collaborate with clients to address their security needs and recommend solutions.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing all tasks.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
