Job Description:
A Controller is a key figure in the accounting department of an organization. This position oversees all activities related to accounting, finance, and financial reporting. The Controller manages the accounting team and collaborates closely with other departments to ensure that financial operations are conducted in compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Present financial findings and insights into management.
- Accounting Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure accurate and compliant recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budgets and compare them with actual results.
- Internal Controls
- Implement and maintain robust financial internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and any other applicable accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and documentation.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Cash Management
- Supervise cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
- Cost Control
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction measures.
- Team Management
- Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
- Audit Coordination
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure a successful audit process.
- Advisory
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues.
- Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper counts and valuations are prepared monthly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting/financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Accounting software.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position requiring occasional weekends and evenings.
