Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including weddings, birthdays, and special events.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing.
- Prepare cake batter and other components in accordance with established recipes.
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are maintained throughout the decorating process.
- Package finished cakes for delivery or display in the store.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their cake orders.
Experience
- Previous experience in culinary arts or a related field is preferred, particularly in cake decorating or pastry work.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
- Familiarity with restaurant environments is beneficial.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen tools for cake decoration.
- A background in customer service is highly valued to enhance client interactions.
