Responsibilities
- Utilize knives and other cutting tools to accurately cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat is handled safely and stored properly to maintain quality and freshness.
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene in the kitchen environment.
- Package meat products efficiently for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of meat products and supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in meat cutting or food preparation within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to meat handling.
- Proficient with knives and other kitchen equipment used in meat processing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
