Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial statements, KPI dashboards, and budget analytics to support business operations. This role requires close collaboration with operations and leadership to provide insights that improve decision-making and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop financial reporting models, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools using Power BI and Power Query.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to optimize business performance.
Collaborate with operations teams to analyze financial data and drive cost efficiency and profitability.
Automate and enhance data collection, reporting processes, and financial analysis using advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI functionalities.
Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, providing deep data analysis and trend insights
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reports and dashboards.
Analyses and reconciles balance sheet accounts.
Reports, analyzes, and interprets financial and operating data for management.
Prepares, reviews, and interprets data for inclusion in financial reports, statements, and summaries.
Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
Assists with company cash flow analysis including but not limited to tracking cash flow activity, preparing reports, and analyzing information for management.
Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting and analyses for the President & Controller
Develops reporting and variance analysis regarding departmental operating budget versus actual expenses.
Assists with annual external audits.
Assists with related special projects as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise lower level accountants, bookkeepers, or other clerical staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in accounting or finance or equivalent.

4 years of accounting or Corporate Finance experience.

Working knowledge of GAAP principles & how these principles impact financial statements.

Proficiency in accounting software (i.e., Ajera, Oracle etc) and Excel.

Ability to work with all levels of management

Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects

Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.

Strong accounting skills.

Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
