Job Summary
This position plays an essential role in effectively managing the day-to-day safety and security of the employees / visitors as well as the operations and maintenance of the facility's building, equipment, and grounds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Maintains safe and secure work environment for staff / visitors.
- Oversee the daily operation of facility equipment and systems.
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise repairs and maintenance with staff and contractors.
- Enforce safety rules and procedures and oversee ongoing training of staff.
- Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with company/plant policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate facility records and prepare reports for management.
- Evaluates performance of individual employees based on goals for productivity and quality.
- Develops and implements processes to reduce labor and material costs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers.
- Analyzes department procedures regarding quality, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and productivity. Implements corrective action and/or improvement plan if needed, tracks progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- This position requires the incumbent to experience frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, bend, stoop, kneel and twist.
- The position requires the incumbent to occasionally lift, push, pull and carry minimal weights if needed with or without assistance.
- Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.

Requirements:
- Minimum education required is a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in, Industrial Management, or other relevant degrees preferred.
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience; Prior supervisory or team leader experience.
- Responsible for leading team projects; Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems, technical operations, building codes and regulations.
- Computer and Math skills; experience with reviewing/approving timecards is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Flexibility based on the needs of the business.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
