JOB TITLE: Plant Manager
Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager with print knowledge for our Kent, WA manufacturing facility.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required as we will consider experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. An emphasis on Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or similar preferred.

Job Summary
Directs the manufacturing, maintenance, warehousing and distribution operations to achieve plant production goals and efficiency measurements. Ensures compliance with all government regulations and corporate policies concerning safety, environment and employee relations.
The Plant Manager serves as a liaison between sales, clients, account teams and production functions with overall responsibility for all internal production operations, including efficient assignment of all line employees, the interrelation of departments of efficient workflow and the efficient accomplishment of schedules and job plans.

- Creates and maintains an environment in which supervisors and employees can efficiently utilize their skills, fulfill their responsibilities and maximize their potential.
- Develops and maintains quality systems and controls to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develops and monitors the repair and preventive maintenance programs for equipment to achieve maximum running speeds while safeguarding corporate assets.
- Directs the efforts of plant supervision to enforce consistent application of policies, procedures, and plant rules which may include the terms of a collective bargaining agreement.
- Monitors, trains and communicates safety and quality programs and assures compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Work with sales & marketing in developing new product lines along with improvements and modifications of existing products.
- Ensure work in process is checked regularly by operations teams to ensure it conforms to instructions, best practices and production and quality standards.
- Stay abreast of new trends and developments in methods, techniques, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies which might be incorporated into the production process to increase efficiency or better use resources.
- Key focus areas include safety, quality, delivery, operational efficiency, employee development, direct involvement with the maintenance team, cost improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Middle level of management. This hands-on position is responsible for managing/developing supervisors and performing work in one or more related functions or projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
- The minimum education requirement is some college coursework or Associate's degree. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Typically possesses 10 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years' experience in managing teams or projects. Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines and processes.
- Extensive experience in Environmental, Health, & Safety.
- Comprehensive experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in envelope, printing or packaging is highly preferred.
- Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred, but not required.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, Internet and Hagen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Must be a self-starter and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Proven ability to perform work that is complex and varied in nature. Defines and discerns key aspects of problem and develops an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact. May provide guidance/training to more junior staff.
