As a Plant Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, increasing productivity, and enhancing operational efficiency within our high-volume, high-speed facility. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality standards. You will be responsible for analyzing and designing workflows, developing layouts, and driving cost-effective manufacturing solutions to support company growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
- Lead the design and implementation of optimized layouts for high-speed, high-volume production lines.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
- Work closely with the production team to implement lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, equipment specifications, and process flows.
- Support the introduction of new products by designing and optimizing production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards across all production processes.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Train and mentor operators and other plant personnel on process improvements and best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and quality concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other process design software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
