We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes while maintaining a safe and positive work environment. The Production Manager will work closely with various departments to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and meet production goals on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Lead and coordinate all aspects of the production process to ensure that products are manufactured to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of production employees, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring resources (labor, materials, and equipment) are allocated efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure that materials are available and used efficiently.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit regular production reports, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, downtime, and quality metrics.
- Collaboration: Work with engineering, maintenance, quality and other departments to resolve production issues, implement upgrades, and improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in production planning, process optimization, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees, suppliers, and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production management software (ERP systems).
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
