We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage key accounting functions, including the day-to-day activities, general ledger, month-end close, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with ERP systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
- Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely completion of all close activities and adherence to internal deadlines.
- Mentor and oversee daily activities of accounting team.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Analyze financial results and ensure all statements are accurate and compliant with accounting principles.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address questions or discrepancies in financial reporting.
- Support external audits by providing accurate documentation and resolving queries.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Maintain and improve standard costing systems, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs and address discrepancies with operations teams.
- Assist with inventory valuation and periodic physical inventory counts.
- Leverage advanced Excel skills to create tools for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Utilize ERP system to ensure accurate and efficient financial data management.
- Recommend and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with some manufacturing industry background, including cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
