IT Cybersecurity Specialist - Automotive Parts Manufacturing (35190)

An international manufacturer of automotive components is searching for an IT Cybersecurity Specialist to join their team in the Columbus, Indiana area. The ideal candidate has strong experience with the management of hardware and software lifecycles and modernizing IT systems. IT Cybersecurity Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor security events and respond as needed
• Ensure systems’ alignment with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) standards
• Collaborate with Technical Systems teams to regularly audit systems infrastructure for vulnerabilities and manage patching and other fixes
• Operate as 2nd/3rd tier support for complex issues with infrastructure and address escalations
• Handle administration and maintenance of servers, network equipment, and storage systems, ensuring minimal downtime
• Manage Active Directory utilities, including user access, identity governance, and group policies
• Ensure security of data infrastructure with reliable backups of critical systems for disaster recovery and business continuity
• Provide regular reporting on matters of system performance, cybersecurity protocols, and network diagrams
• Maintain detailed documentation of all processes
• Other duties as assigned

IT Cybersecurity Specialist Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information systems, Computer Science, or similar area of study
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in security operations management, endpoint protection, network security, and utilization of SIEM and other utilities
• Experience with Infrastructure Administration
• Prior experience with ITSM frameworks/tools, including Service Desk Plus
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multicultural environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
