Overview
We are seeking general maintenance contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate has a wide knowledge of general handyman skills including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and more. We are looking for someone who is flexible and may be available occasionally on call, if needed. Typically there is enough work for 5-8 hours per week. Applicants must qualify for and pass a federal background check.
Responsibilities
- Manage regular and sporadic maintenance in apartment units and around the properties.
- Coordinate and communicate with site manager and residents to schedule work.
- Ensure maintenance is completed quickly and efficiently
- Oversee quality control
- Provide cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Manage project documentation and reporting with site manager
Skills
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance and repair
- Ability to source materials as needed for projects
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe work environment
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
