Job Title: Controller
Location: Tampa, FL (100% in-office)
Job Type: Full-Time
The Controller will lead all financial functions, ensuring accurate and compliant accounting practices for multiple HOAs and CDDs. This position is critical to maintaining the financial health and regulatory compliance of our managed communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property or community association accounting. A CPA license is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounting functions for multiple HOA and CDD entities, including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and reserve fund accounting • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports for boards of directors and community stakeholders • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, governing documents, and audit requirements for HOAs/CDDs • Supervise budgeting processes and assist boards in developing annual budgets and funding plans • Lead and coordinate year-end audits and tax filings with external accountants • Maintain internal financial controls and safeguard community assets • Implement accounting software best practices; experience with industry-specific platforms is a plus • Collaborate with operations and community managers to support accurate and timely financial reporting • Monitor cash flow, reserves, and assessment receivables across all managed communities
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus • CPA license highly preferred • 7 years of accounting experience • Strong knowledge of fund accounting, association financial reporting, and reserve fund requirements • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and financial acumen • Excellent communication and leadership skills; experience managing accounting staff is a plus

Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
