As a Credit Manager, must be detail-oriented, possess strong time management and credit analysis skills and be able to prioritize multiple key tasks. A hands-on individual who is organized, accurate, results-oriented, and possesses great integrity. A people leader who can motivate and support a team to achieve high performance and deal with adversity. This role will be reporting to the Director of Credit and Collections.
This position is part of the Accounts Receivable Department and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA – Onsite. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage a staff of credit analysts and a cash analyst and perform all required management responsibilities, including but not limited to: annual performance/development objective setting, timesheet review/approvals, and annual performance reviews.
Generate credit related reports and distribute to team/management as required.
Perform commercial credit analysis on potential customers using Dun & Bradstreet reporting, bank and trade references, and financial statements.
Analyze/approve credit lines as per the credit approval matrix.
Evaluate new software resources/job processes to help increase credit review efficiency.
Review any pending credit hold orders to assess invoice delinquency and make credit decisions on order shipments.
Work on special credit related projects as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include Education and Experience (in years):
A bachelor’s degree in finance/business or a related field with 9 years OR Master's degree in field with 7 years OR Doctoral degree with 4 years experience
Experience in Credit/Accounts Receivable
Advanced commercial credit analysis utilizing Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, or similar
Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with an emphasis on the ability to prepare and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets through V lookups and pivot tables
Excellent written skills, including good grammar and spelling in written communication.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in a manufacturing or medical device environment
Experience with SAP
Financial statement analysis

The salary range for this role is $93,600 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
