CEPTON, a leading intelligent lidar solution provider, is seeking an Quality Control Technician to support the high-volume production in our manufacturing department.
Responsibilities
- Inspect products for defects, inconsistencies, or damage during incoming, production and final stages (visual and using measurement tools).
- Responsible for setting up and tracking first article material and testing.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspection and testing activities, including non-conformance reports, and documenting corrective actions taken.
- Following established quality control procedures and guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Identifying and reporting non-conforming products, initiating appropriate actions to address issues, and potentially rejecting defective items.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for process optimization and reduce defects.
Qualifications
- Documentation skills: Accurate record-keeping and report writing capabilities.
- Attention to detail: Ability to carefully observe and identify minor discrepancies in products.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good team player and can also work independently
- Capable of working on multiple tasks/projects as necessary
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- 5 years of working experience in the field
- AS degree minimum and BS degree in a Technical Field preferred
