The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing the metrology tools and calibration methods. This role will also be critical in ensuring product performance, developing advanced measurement systems, and supporting production with effective metrology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive calibration methodologies and refine calibration procedures and systems for LIDAR systems to ensure long-term accuracy and stability.
- Conduct thorough analysis of optical system distortions and various impacts on Lidar signal intensity, creating and refining mathematical regression models to ensure LIDAR point cloud position and reflectivity accuracy.
- Drive efforts to improve the precision of product measurements and validation techniques, identifying sources of error and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of metrology equipment, ensuring tools are in optimal working condition and meet required standards.
- Design and develop advanced metrology tools and methods to ensure accurate measurement of LIDAR products, focusing on precision and repeatability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance metrology capabilities, ensuring measurement systems are scalable, cost-effective, and support future product requirements.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of calibrated LiDAR systems using real-world data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with hardware, software, and product quality teams to integrate calibration processes seamlessly within the LiDAR production pipeline.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of metrology processes, calibration protocols, model assumptions, and validation test results.

The pay range for this role is $140,000–$180,000 . Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
