Job Purpose:
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate or VP to join our Valuation team in New York. You will perform valuation services across various structured products including RMBS, Single Family Rental Properties, Mortgage Whole Loans, CMBS, Auto ABS, and Consumer Loans. You should have experience managing complex Excel spreadsheets, large datasets (ideally with SQL), and working with programming languages (ideally VBA and Python). The candidate must also work well under pressure in a team environment and have the aptitude to develop innovative and efficient solutions. Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Valuation Analysis:
- Conduct independent pricing analysis to ensure that the Firm’s valuation accurately reflect current market conditions
- Perform cashflow modeling using industry standard tools such as Intex, Dealmaker and Bloomberg
- Analyze internal model conclusions, third party pricing, collateral performance, market data, industry trends, and economic factors to support valuation conclusions
- Provide pricing support to third-party auditors and internal teams
Report Preparation:
- Present Valuation results and pricing methodology changes to senior management and internal Valuation Committees for approval
- Draft clear, concise, and well-organized valuation reports that adhere to audit and regulatory standards
Market Research:
- Regularly conduct market and industry research to support pricing analysis using available tools and subscription services (such as Bloomberg, broker/dealer research, dealer pricing analysis, BWICs, and Capital IQ)
- Monitor market trends and developments that may impact investment values
Data Management and Documentation:
- Organize and maintain valuation models, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to valuation processes
Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the improvement of valuation methodologies and internal processes
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the process efficiency and database management
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience:
- 3-8 years of valuation experience with structured products
- Financial analysis in structured finance or related fields
- Candidates with less product specific experience will be considered if they have a particularly strong Excel and programming background (with a willingness to learn structured products)
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA and Python, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Knowledge of valuation tools and techniques (such as cash flow modeling and related assumptions)
- Analytical Skills:
- Detail oriented
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and logical thinking
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $115,000.00 and $160,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a robust benefits package.
