Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety and security of the facility, personnel, and valuable assets. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and ensuring the overall safety of the facility. The hourly rate will be between $16-$18 per hour based on experience.
HOURS
Monday - Friday: 7:30AM - 3:30PM
Saturday: 7:30AM - 12:30PM
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the plant premises to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems, equipment, and entry points to detect potential risks or security breaches.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors are properly identified and logged into the facility.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to management and law enforcement as needed.
- Assist with the enforcement of plant safety procedures, including emergency evacuations and incident response.
- Maintain clear and accurate security logs, documenting any security events or unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with plant staff to ensure security protocols are understood and followed.
- Perform other security-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or security training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and stamina to patrol large areas regularly.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
