Description
REPORTS TO : Medical Director / Practice Manager
PAY RANGE : $99,200 - $123,000 per year
WORK SCHEDULE : Full-time (40 hours). Weekdays only. No evenings, weekends, or on-call.
POSITION SUMMARY : Provides Family Practice services to individuals of all ages.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conducts initial examinations with recommendations for treatment and follow-up care to individuals.
- Conducts follow-up examinations with recommendations for any changes in the care plan.
- Prescribes medications as condition indicates within the appropriate scope of licensure.
- Make appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Discusses the medical area of the treatment plan with the individual, parents, relatives / advocates, or guardians.
- Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary clinic team to ensure that the medical needs of patients are met.
- Maintains confidential medical records.
- Ensures referral and / or consultation with a collaborating physician, as appropriate.
- Assures compliance with all regulations of health and clinical services.
- Ensures standards of medical care.
- Assists nursing staff in providing emergency first aid, crisis intervention, and infection control procedures.
- Ensures review of medical care provided and recommended by collaboration physician.
- Performs any other duties agreed upon with the Medical Director.
