Job Overview

As a pivotal decision-maker, you will lead our retail staff, directing café operations to achieve common objectives and goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding and professional development to ensure a passionate, engaged retail team
· Collaborate with training team to continually develop barista, foodservice and customer service skills
· Be a liaison to communicate company updates from the leadership team
· Cultivate community relationships with customers and retail team
· Be both a steward and an ambassador for Ceremony’s Shared Values: Quality, Integrity, and Community
· Establish a thorough working knowledge of all systems and oversee routine and periodic maintenance.
· Maintain equipment daily and schedule tech maintenance quarterly
· Ensure that daily and long-term checklists are completed, and accurate maintenance records are kept.
· Ensure that all aspects of food and drink preparation (employees, facilities, operations) adhere to Health Department and Ceremony standards
· Ensure that sanitation, training, maintenance, and record keeping requirements are met and that the space remains “health inspection ready” at all times
· Ensure security procedures are followed at opening/closing
· Oversee all scheduling – ensure proper staffing levels and adhere to labor targets
· Control product costs without sacrificing product quality or customer experience
· Conduct accurate monthly inventory of retail supplies
· Ensure that all inventory procedures are followed, including receiving, storing, stocking, and inventory adjustments
· Maintain stock of retail supplies and adjust pars seasonally
· Pursue growth strategies; make smart decisions while managing operations, labor, and inventory to exceed financial goals
· Schedule employees and ensure that shifts are filled appropriately in the event of employee absence
· Follow disciplinary procedures detailed in employee handbook
· Conduct regular performance check ins
· Establish regular communication channels with in-store team and conduct collaborative team meetings
· Accountable for upholding the company policies and procedures as approved by the leadership team.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
· 2 years of retail or café experience preferred
· Overt passion for people, service, and for specialty coffee
· Creating a collaborative environment of open communication and reciprocal feedback
· Strengths that include troubleshooting, problem solving, and ability to learn and implement new systems and methods
· Capable of maintaining calm while working quickly under pressure
· Refined attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication, good organization and time-management skills
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time, 8-12 hours and to perform a repetitive range of motion activities
· Reliable transportation

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
