Job Title: Knuckle Boom Operators - CDL A- MUST have experience in knuckle boom truck

Job Reporting Location: This position needs someone with travel flexibility
Job Summary: Transport and pick up loose wood/debris products from the disaster recovery cleanup sites. Inspects and maintains equipment as required. Exercise proper care, maintenance and operation of company equipment. Responsible for delivering and removing temporary or permanent construction materials to job sites, as instructed, utilizing a boom to load and unload the freight always applying safe driving practices. Work harmoniously, cooperatively and courteously with others always. Adhere to all Company Safety Policies. Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transports and picks up loose wood and debris products
- Inspects and maintains equipment as required
- Exercise proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment
- Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others always
- Adhere to all Company Safety Policies
- Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required
- Operates vehicle in accordance OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
- Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Manager or Dispatch
- Works closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices
- Notifies Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage
- Notifies Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazards
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Manager or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs
Essential Qualifications:
- You put Safety first and are steadfast in keeping people safe from harm
- Must possess a thorough understanding of crane/boom operation characteristics, controls, emergency skills, response to fire, power line contact, tipping, malfunction characteristics and performance questions about the specific boom truck in use.
- ·Must demonstrate proficiency with the set up and operation of the crane’s computer in correct configuration and work within limitations

- Must be physically capable of performing tasks

- Read, speak, and comprehend English
- Must be able to perform task safely
- Must have good driving record- provide 2-year driving M.V.R
- Experience in waste, construction, demolition or driving
- Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting to 50 pounds
- Regulatory Knowledge Competencies: Knowledge of OSHA, State regulations, and all safety policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Vision of at least 20/30 Snellen in one eye and 20/50 in the other, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to distinguish colors, regardless of position, if color differentiation is required.
- Adequate hearing to meet operational demands, with or without hearing aid.
- Sufficient strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and speed of reaction to meet the operation demands.
- Normal depth perception, field of vision, reaction time, manual dexterity, coordination, and no tendencies to dizziness or similar undesirable characteristics.
- A negative result for a substance abuse test
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
