Job Title: Regional Client Manager (Sarasota based)
Position Summary: To pursue and maintain business development of the Disaster Response Division and adjacent sectors of opportunity. The principal result of successful performance will be the acquisition of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts within a specified region, market, or event. The RCM is primarily tasked with managing their assigned clients/contracts, and for maintaining strong relationships with current clients, while fostering and cultivating relationships with new and potential clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate as part of a team in the pursuit of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts within a specified region, market, or event.
- Participate in regional marketing, sales, and contract development in business development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with targeted customers and strategic partners within a specified region, market, or event.
- Identify potential contract opportunities, business areas, and partners within a specified region, market, or event.
- Regularly communicate with current clients through personalized emails, phone calls, or meetings. Recording and tracking all customer related activity within CRM.
- Manage and maintain relationships with pre-event contract holding customers creating and maintaining customer records in CRM.
- Participate in regional pre-event, post event, and pre/post event capture plans maintaining all capture activity records in SalesForce Make certain to utilize all functions within Salesforce to store, track, and manage contract details for Ceres and its competitors for all procurements regardless of win/loss status.
- Monitor publicly available sources of information, such as press releases, financial reports, and industry news, to track contract expirations and renewals for competitors and record in SalesForce.
- Keep an eye on competitor websites, social media channels, and other communication channels for announcements related to contract renewals or new business wins and record in SalesForce.
- Establish reminder systems or automated alerts to notify relevant stakeholders of upcoming contract expiration and record in SalesForce.
- Set reminders well in advance of the expiration date to allow sufficient time for renewal negotiations or alternative arrangements and record in SalesForce.
- Provide the Client and BD leadership with details of unqualified opportunities for pursuit decision.
Essential Qualifications
- Successful work history with verifiable and quantifiable business successes.
- College degree, preferably MBA degree in marketing, business, finance, or another related field.
- Proficient with contract management and business development strategies
- Must have excellent computer proficiency in Salesforce, MS Windows, Word, Excel, the internet, and email applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with all teams in a collaborative and cooperative manner.
- Excellent verbal, written, and negotiating communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic plans with excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain government contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively strategize, plan, implement, manage, and coordinate multiple assignments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in government contracting is preferred.
- Familiarity with government funding, contracting, RFPs, solicitation, and
qualifications.
