Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Auto Body Technician for prep work on various vehicle types. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repairs, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing bodywork, prepping vehicles, and assisting with repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to efficiently complete repairs, including sanding, buffing, and prepping vehicles for paint.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Address client concerns and inquiries to provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform light and heavy bodywork (depending on , metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and stud welding.
- Prepare vehicles for cosmetic paintwork, including sanding, masking, and taping.
Perform paint prep and final sanding before painting and touch-up work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Proficiency in heavy lifting and physical stamina for demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and components related to automobiles.
- Experience with auto restoration projects is a plus.
