Nature of Work
Supervise the field construction of a project including its organization, planning and scheduling in order to complete the work on time and within budget.
Directly supervises multiple employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Physical exertion such as long periods of standing; lifting of heavy items (50-75 pounds), walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
Work Environment
Standard project site environment that may include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.

Nature of Work
Supervise the field construction of a project including its organization, planning and scheduling in order to complete the work on time and within budget.
- Additional incentive compensation available to traveling Superintendent candidates!
- Review all contracts, drawings and specifications and develop on-site plans and procedures for implementation.
- Interface with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, inspectors, etc.
- Conduct safety meetings and responsible for overall site safety.
- Develop quality control procedures and requirements.
- Participate in the recruiting, assessment, and hiring of construction personnel.
- Coordinate, supervise and train all direct reports to achieve project objectives.
- Work with operations or project manager to assure work is consistent with estimates, procedures, dimensional control, equipment and manpower; keep them properly updated on progress schedules; and schedule delivery of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate, direct and monitor activities of subcontractors, suppliers and company labor.
- Ensure all necessary permits and other temporary facilities are in place before construction begins.
- Ensure the project’s wage and hiring requirements and security practices are met.
- Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management and safety officer, and recommend/implement corrective actions, as required.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

- Experience supporting Light Industrial projects is preferred.
