Our clients range in size from locally owned small businesses to the largest retailers in America, many of which have relied on us for over fifty years to provide check verification and warranty services, Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment solutions, and risk management expertise.
We are searching for a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for providing analytical decision support and performance analysis on the key expense drivers in the business. The primary goal of the position is to assist the Finance Manager and help drive profitable results. The Financial Analyst will have full ownership and responsibility for the recording and valuation of all operating expenses for all business segments, as well as the related accuracy and integrity of reported numbers. The position will also have ownership and responsibility of the analysis, forecasting and budgeting of all operating expenses of the business, as well as participating in the annual financial audit.
This individual must possess excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills and an attention to detail. They must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. A strong accounting background is required. They must also be able to present complex analysis in a simplified way and have the ability to communicate to a variety of business partners and senior management.
Responsibilities
· Generation of daily reporting of KPI’s
· Ability to prepare journal entries and perform various reconciliations
· Participate in month-end close process and prepare a variety of monthly reports
· Communicate financial and operational results and provide analysis/explanations
· Complete accurate forecasts working in partnership with business leaders
· Provide variance analysis to help identify trends of key metrics and potential action needed
· Support business units in preparation of annual strategic planning process
· Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited four-year college or university, MBA a plus
· 5 years of financial analysis, budgeting and/or accounting experience preferred
· Accounting Knowledge: understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
· Data analysis skills: ability to collect, organize and analyze large datasets
· Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions
· Financial modeling expertise: proficiency in using financial modeling software (MS Excel) including pivot tables and complex charts. PowerPoint knowledge a plus.
· Strong problem-solving skills: self-motivated with ability to take direction and work independently
· Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with ERP systems and knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
Work Environment: Onsite in Clearwater, Florida
