The Project Manager will be a hybrid position working out of our Ozone Park, NY, Collingswood, NJ, and Baltimore, MD offices.
Job Summary:
The Certerra Instrumentation and Monitoring Group is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team in the Northeast region. The Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing contract documents, developing and implementing geotechnical and structural monitoring systems, and ensuring project compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in instrumentation, data analysis, and reporting, along with excellent project coordination skills to manage field teams, subcontractors, and client communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical or structural monitoring, a solid understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- The supervision of the preparation and review Contractor’s submittals related to Geotechnical and Structural Instrumentation installation.
- The preparation of a detailed step-by-step procedures and data flow chart specified herein. For instruments and GIMS integrations and operation.
- The on-site supervision during installation of each instrument and collection of initial readings for each instrument
- The pre-installation and post-installation acceptance tests for each instrument.
- The repair and replacement of damaged instruments.
- The start-up and operation of instruments.
- The verifications of the baseline readings for submission to the Engineer for approval.
- The supervisions of system setup for data collection, reduction, plotting, transferring, and reporting of geotechnical instrumentation data to verify installation and operations.
- The interpretations of the instrumentation measurements.
- The participation in discussions with the Engineer pertaining to items related to instrumentation, automated monitoring systems and data.
Education/Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience with 2 or more years of proven experience managing projects.
- B.S. Degree in Engineering in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological
- Proven results in meeting internal or external client requirements for Scope, Schedule, Budget, and Quality.
- Knowledge and experience leading, developing, and managing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the company.
- Highly organized, self-motivated and results driven with the ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
Certifications/Licenses:
- OSHA 10, with preference given to OSHA 30 or more
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate preferred, or ability to procure within 2 years.
Compensation will depend on experience, education, and certifications.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
