CBDCE is a non-profit certification board (located in Schaumburg, IL) that administers credential programs for healthcare professionals in the diabetes care and education space.
We are seeking an individual to fill a part-time, temporary position to support the Marketing and Communications Manager. Current college students or recent college grads in marketing/communications/PR will be preferred candidates.
Marketing Assistant (Part-Time - Hybrid) Temporary Position - Ends December 31, 2025

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Marketing & Communications Manager
Essential Functions: Performs a variety of marketing-related duties.
Location: Hybrid (company laptop provided), mostly remote, with occasional days in the office
Hours Minimum of 10 hours per week, up to a maximum of 15 hours per week - flexible days
Pay: $16 - $18/hour, depending on marketing support experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs a variety of marketing-related duties, including but not limited to analyzing/reviewing data, marketing support planning, creating QR codes/UTM Codes, website SEO maintenance/tag updates, creating reports, website maintenance updates, researching marketing opportunities, email campaigns support, assist in creating social media paid campaigns, lead follow-up after tradeshows, process marketing invoices and other marketing-related administrative support with a focus on supporting programs to increase brand awareness, engagement and growth.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED minimum.
2. Current or past college coursework with an emphasis in marketing, communications, public relations, or business administration preferred. If no current or past college coursework with an emphasis in marketing, communications, public relations, or business administration, a minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, sales, or business administration.
3. Volunteer or work experience with a non-profit association or certification board is a plus.
4. Strong ability to participate as a team player.
5. Strong work ethic, motivation, and interest in marketing.
6. Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
7. Initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
8. Ability to handle concurrent assignments and to work independently.
9. Computer proficiency in MS Office – includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM, Internet research, Constant Contact or other email marketing applications.
