Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Apartment Leasing and Maintenance Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for both leasing apartment units and maintaining the property to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive living environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing Responsibilities:
- Assist prospective tenants in finding available apartments by showing units and explaining property features and benefits.
- Prepare and process rental applications, leases, and renewal agreements.
- Conduct apartment move-ins and move-outs, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Maintain and update records of leases, rental payments, and communication with tenants.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate marketing and advertising efforts to attract potential tenants.
- Maintain knowledge of current market trends and competitive properties.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the apartment complex, including common areas, grounds, and individual units.
- Address and resolve maintenance requests from residents in a timely manner.
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, as well as general maintenance tasks (painting, cleaning, and carpentry).
- Ensure that all appliances, fixtures, and equipment in the building are functioning properly.
- Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders as needed.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and general upkeep of the property.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in property management, leasing, or maintenance is a plus.
- Previous experience in apartment leasing, property management, or maintenance preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform general repairs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
