We are currently seeking a motivated individual with the right attitude to work in our Warehouse Department and be a backup to our delivery driver when needed. The right candidate for this role must be a team player with a can-do mentality. The position requires someone who can lift or move up to 60 lbs. routinely and should have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Depending on the nature of the business, the current demand, and the specific tasks that need to be accomplished, this employee may have varying responsibilities and duties on different days. Here's how this scenario could play out: Warehouse Work (100%), Driving and Warehouse Split (50-50), Driving (100%).
Responsibilities:
- Load vans/trucks
- Accurately verify parts loaded against customer orders.
- Unload parts and confirm that the correct parts are delivered as ordered.
- Deliver customer orders in a timely fashion.
- Drive in a safe manner and follow all company driving policies including state laws.
- Follow all company policies regarding paperwork and monies.
- Weekly pre-trip inspection must be performed every Monday, and the van kept clean and free of trash and food.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A valid/clean license with a minimum of years of driving history (no points or accidents).
- Occasional work in the elements, cold, heat, rain, and snow.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and follow procedures.
- Must be able to drive a full-size Ford, Chevy, or Nissan Van, including box trucks.
- Able to work 7:45 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
