Facilities Technician

Job Summary
The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities. This position requires a blend of electrical and mechanical knowledge to ensure that all systems function optimally. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various equipment and systems, while also providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Utilize logic controllers to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
• Conduct inspections and tests using tools such as an Ohmmeter to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Respond promptly to service requests from staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve facility processes and efficiencies.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
• Proficiency in electrical maintenance, including understanding of logic controllers and schematics.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
