A medical clinic is seeking a new VP to join their growing team. The Vice President of Business Intelligence and Data Solutions oversees BI and Data Solutions to align with our clients strategic goals, ensuring effective business processes and improvements. This role manages IT operations, data governance, and automation initiatives to optimize efficiency, security, and modernization, including Electronic Health Record enhancements. Additionally, the VP is responsible for overseeing non-clinical services such as facilities management, security, and transportation to support the organization’s smooth operation.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree / Bachelor’s in Health Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Health Administration or equivalent.
- 5 years recent relevant healthcare industry business intelligence and data solutions
- Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) Certification, Microsoft Certified solution Developer (MCSD), or Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)
- EMR Optimization Experience
- Experience in Process and Quality Improvement and/or data analytics
- Vendor Management Experience
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Provides Leadership team and CEO with historical, current, and predictive views of business operations.
- Serves as a Member of the Executive Leadership Team
- Sets company data strategy and works closely with departments to support them through data solutions and insights.
- Company Leadership Dashboard
- Prepares data and policy driven analyses and charts relevant to company and industry trends
- Company Staff Dashboard
- Prepares monthly data and policy driven analyses and charts relevant to operations, distributing to applicable staff
- Clinical Operations Leaders and Staff Dashboard:
- Prepares dashboards for Clinical and Operations Leadership, including Physician performance dashboards Distributes to appropriate leaders for monthly distribution to clinical leaders.
- BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM:
- Directs the BI & DS teams in application development in Microsoft .NET, SharePoint, SQL, Power BI platform, and other platforms to collect and present data needed for operational requirements and provide flexible data and application solutions to meet ever-changing company needs
- Establish a support services, or work order submission, platform for all of company sites and staff
- Responsible for the data architecture design, development, and maintenance
- Designs and maintains application solutions used for access to data sources, interconnection of business systems, and collection of data to enable business efficiency
- Develops mobile business intelligence solutions for information dissemination to field staff and management
- Provides technical direction for ongoing development and maintenance of data infrastructure including data warehouse, internal and external cube services, Extract, Transport, and Load (ETL) processes, alerts, notifications and API interfaces with other applications. Ensures the best architecture is utilized for performance and availability
- Establishes and maintains a centralized Business Intelligence catalog for dissemination of dashboards, standard reports, key performance indicators, trending, scorecards, history, etc
- Develops functional automation using tools such as Power BI stack (SSIS, .NET, Python, API, and SSAS) will be utilized to adapt, develop, test, and deliver error free applications and data
- Designs and develops interconnectivity solutions with various internal/external systems to support critical business processes in areas such as Call Center Management, Customer Service, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other key operations
- In conjunction with the Information Technology (IT) systems group develops and maintains a secure data infrastructure with secure access throughout all company’s data-related systems
- Creates and maintains project management and tracking systems for each discipline area.
- Assures performance tuning to optimize use and provide stability of data stores.
- Establishes, writes, and maintains standard processes, procedures, and change management, for functions
