What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Journeyman position at Certified Fire?
Summary:
The Fire Journeyman at Certified Fire will complete the installation, service and maintenance of fire alarm systems for customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
(May perform additional duties of similar complexity within Certified Fire and Security as required or assigned.)
· Install low voltage panels, wiring and other devices
· Program FACP with applicable devices
· Test equipment after installation or repairs to ensure the system is working properly
· Provide customers with instruction on system operation and functionality
· Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order
· Ensure clear and timely communication with Journeyman, assigned crew and other team members.
· Completes work in accordance with NFPA and Company standards
· Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; following all job site safety requirements and keeping security information confidential.
· Provide any PPE that is not issued by the company
· Accurately record all hours spent on jobs worked. This may include using a time clock to clock in and out for shifts, and/or tracking time spent on each job site.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience in programming & troubleshooting preferred
Licensing:
- Valid Driver License
- Job related Certificates and/or licenses required
Skills:
- Excellent two-way communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs
- Must be able to effectively operate a smart phone device
- Ability to work as a team or independently
- Strong time management skills
Other: Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle records check
Successful participation and completion of random drug screenings

Salary Range:
$30-$45/hour, depending on experience
