The Business Development Representative for Certified Fleet Services is the face of our organization. This role is responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner, building rapport by providing information, giving recommendations, and communicating with the highest level of integrity. The Business Development Representative role will be responsible to follow through with prospects to close business in alignment with organizational goals. The Business Development Representative position is an exempt position eligible to receive commission.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Identify and establish contact with potential customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Communicate recommended products and services needed
- Master company knowledge, products, services delivery model
- Evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations with the highest level of integrity
- Maintain customer contact volume standards by conducting outbound calls and converting existing and new customers into service agreements
- Complete CardoneU Training daily and attend weekly sales meetings in office
- Maintain contact with customers throughout the sales process to ensure the delivery of information and any additional authorizations
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
- Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
- Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing and potential customers
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE KEY COMPETENCIES

- Well rounded knowledge of the automotive maintenance process
- Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times

- Must have organized approach to workload with proper follow through
- Effectively communicate in English with team members, management, and customers in both verbal and written format
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals and procedure manuals
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to maintain positive attitude while working in a fast paced environment
- Remarkable consultative sales ability, while providing excellent customer service
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- GED or High School Diploma required; BS in Business preferred
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience required
- Vehicle experience preferred
- Current State Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record required
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, or walking
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs periodically
