We are currently looking for a VP of Enterprise Engineering to join our growing team!
JOB SUMMARY
The VP of Enterprise Engineering (EE) will provide technology vision and leadership for the strategy and management of all company software platforms including LIMS, ERP, CRM along with Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse technology and reporting. The VP of EE will provide leadership and expertise in systems architecture analyzing business requirements, developing application initiatives, and managing a growing backlog of tasks for the engineering team. In this key role, you will be charged with helping to build a technology organization focused on delivering state-of-the-art technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and will interface with the engineering teams and broader business alike to align business priorities with technical initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the Applications Development team through changing work requirements and priorities, demanding deadlines, operational crisis situations, as well as being able to keep pace with multiple concurrent priorities.
- Develop a 3-year roadmap for all key systems and achieve results that have cross-functional, cross-district and System impact.
- Lead and deliver complex software projects to business specifications on time and within budget.
- Drive communication consensus with key internal and external customers, ELT and Board regarding applications.
- Make decisions regarding the selection of new tools and technologies, adopting a strategic approach that aligns with the long-term roadmap.
- Ensure support teams follow best practices and agile methodologies.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to application development, delivery, and operations.
- Implement strategies to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Establish and implement quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
- Lead the establishment and continual improvement of application performance metrics to measure health and status of critical systems.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions across the enterprise.
SUPERVISION
- Supervision and oversight of incumbents
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree. Master’s degree preferred.
- 15 years of demonstratable experience in an application leadership role.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a diverse and large applications team.
- Experiences managing LabVantage or LabWare LIMS platforms, Great Plains ERP, and Salesforce CRM.
- Transformational and consolidation experience a strong plus.
- Experience managing off-shore development and support teams.
- Software architecture background with various systems: reporting, finance, databases, custom applications etc.
- Has a cloud-first approach, background in cloud architecture and modernizing applications by migrating from on-prem to cloud.
