Mulberry Vicksburg, has a need for an energetic, outgoing, team members who are people oriented and has strong organizational skills to join our team as a Mulberry Host ( Front Desk Associate) for the Mulberry Vicksburg. Mulberry was designed to enhance and enliven the downtown Vicksburg area by serving as a beacon of interest and activity. Whether guests and residents choose to eat, stay, play -- or all three -- Mulberry Vicksburg fosters an elevated community experience through sophisticated design and unmatched services.
Mulberry Hosts are the first point of contact for our Mulberry guests. They leave lasting impressions and are ambassadors of our facility.
The Mulberry Host creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment.
This position is responsible for the complete guest experience; to include the Gallery Host Stand (Front Desk Agent), the Mulberry Bistro, the e-room and the TV den, guest check in and out and the servicing of the common areas. The Mulberry Host is responsible to learn the Front Desk (Check-In and Check-Out), Preparing Food, Bartender, Cleaning of the Lobby, and providing a complete guest experience. Previous guest service experience Hotel Front Desk as well as the ability to communicate well with guests required.
Qualifications
- Serve Safe Alcohol and Food Safe Certified - We can provide that training
- Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field
- Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing
- Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be 21 years or older
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
- Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, et

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Front Desk representative or Hospitality background
- Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field

- Strong work ethic
- Must be able to multi-task

- Must possess basic computer skills, i.e., Word, Excel, etc.
- Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service preferred but not required - will have to obtain Food Handling & TABC certification at company expense
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Give a warm and sincere greeting. Check the guest in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
- Handle guest registration, room assignments and room blocking which includes accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Follow correct check-in/check-out procedures for all guests.
- Handle guest mail and messages according to company policy.
- Offer and properly handle requests
- Effectively operate the hotel computer system or property management system upon certification.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, hotel services, hours of operation, room locations, room rates, amenities, hotel surroundings (i.e. mall, restaurants, and medical facilities).
- Regularly required to stand; sit; walk; reach; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk and hear.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent
Experience:
- One-year previous experience in a similar position in a select service hotel preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
