Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a NDT Level 3 Inspector – RT (Radiographic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing) at our Phoenix, AZ location. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and integrity of aerospace components through advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. As a key part of the team, you will be responsible for writing and approving techniques and procedures, approving purchase orders (POs) and job requirements, and providing support and guidance to NDT Level 2 inspectors. Responsibilities also include conducting inspections, interpreting results, training and certifying Level 1 and Level 2 inspectors, and maintaining quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and approve NDT techniques and procedures in compliance with industry standards
- Communicate with prime NDT engineering contacts to facilitate technique approvals
- Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and job requirements for NDT inspections
- Provide leadership, guidance, and technical assistance to NDT Level 2 inspectors
- Oversee and ensure proper execution of NDT inspections for Radiographic (X-ray), Magnetic Particle, and Penetrant testing
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company standards
- Review and approve inspection reports and findings
- Conduct NDT training and mentoring for inspectors to ensure high-quality performance
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- NAS-410 NDT Level 3 certifications in Radiographic (X-ray), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Penetrant (PT) inspections
- Extensive knowledge of NDT methods, techniques, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to write, review, and approve NDT procedures and techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience providing technical support and training to NDT Level 2 inspectors
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with precision
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ
