CLEANING TECH II (FORKLIFT)

About the Role:

The Cleaning Tech II (Forklift) position is essential for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our facility in Huntsville, AL. This role involves operating forklifts to transport cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all areas are properly sanitized and organized. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols while performing cleaning tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with other team members to identify areas that need attention and to implement effective cleaning strategies. Ultimately, the Cleaning Tech II will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to cleanliness and safety standards within the workplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification or have previous experience operating a forklift with an expired forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or floor care maintenance role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of using a slow speed floor machine

Responsibilities:

• This is Not a Forklift Operator Position - You will only be required to run the forklift as necessary
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including waste removal, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas.
• Conduct inspections of cleaning equipment and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Performing floorcare responsibilities as necessary
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize cleaning tasks and ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties and operating machinery.
