Machine Operator 

 The role of the Blending Operator involves handling, operating, and maintaining blending equipment effectively. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring proper preparation of raw materials, verifying mixture specifications, controlling product processing, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. 

Essential Functions 

• Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Certified Origins standard of safety, quality, and throughput. 

• Accurately completes applicable quality and production reports hourly. Physical and visual inspection of products is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership. 

• Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations. 

• Follows the production schedule and understands production standards. 

• Always abides by Certified Origins Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. 

• Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership. 

• Responsible for the accurate and timely transactions in our ERP computer system for production within our work centers. 

• Maintains appropriate level of raw materials as required, to ensure production lines avoid downtime. 

• Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoots minor production line issues and performs relief duties when required. 

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. 

• Required to lift a maximum of 50 pounds on occasion. 

• Maintains each piece of equipment from start-up to shutdown of the shift including changeovers.
