Role Overview: As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Planner/Inventory Specialist to join our team on-site in Newport News, VA. This mid-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional who can manage inventory planning and logistics in line with our mission and high standards. The Planner/Inventory Specialist will ensure that our premium olive oil products (and other goods) are consistently available to meet customer demand, while coordinating smoothly with international suppliers and internal teams to uphold our values of quality, transparency, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Inventory Management: Track and maintain accurate inventory levels across all product
lines, ensuring data integrity and optimal stock levels at our facility.
• Supply Coordination: Coordinate and manage the ordering of products from overseas
suppliers, scheduling shipments and monitoring import logistics to meet production and
delivery timelines.
• Demand Fulfillment: Ensure timely inventory availability to meet customer demand by
aligning supply plans with sales forecasts and proactively identifying potential stock
shortages or delays.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with internal departments (e.g. sales,
operations, warehousing) and external partners (suppliers, freight forwarders) to ensure
seamless logistics and planning across the supply chain.
- Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
(Master’s degree a plus).
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or a related role,
preferably in a fast-paced or international environment.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software for
tracking orders and stock levels.
• Attention to Detail: A detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills for forecasting
demand and maintaining accurate records.
• Proactive & Collaborative: Proactive problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented
approach; able to anticipate issues and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
coordinate effectively with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive results.
