Duties
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work.
- Learn to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites, assisting with frame carpentry as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to electrical work and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems or prior experience in a construction environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
