Job Summary: The Event & Social Media Specialist supports the planning and execution of events and social media initiatives to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement. This role assists in event logistics, content creation, and audience interactions, working closely with the marketing team to ensure seamless execution and valuable customer insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination & Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of webinars, trade shows, and other events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including vendor communication, registration management, and promotional material preparation.
- Support pre-event promotions and post-event follow-up activities.
- Help implement attendee engagement strategies before, during, and after events.
Social Media Execution:
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content to promote events and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and escalate key interactions to the marketing team.
- Help track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize content and engagement.
Customer & Market Insights:
- Monitor social media conversations to identify customer preferences, pain points, and industry trends.
- Assist in gathering and organizing customer feedback from events and social platforms.
- Help compile insights and reports to support marketing and sales teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic experience with marketing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, Eventbrite, CRM platforms).
- Interest in B2B marketing and customer engagement strategies.
- Creative skills in content creation, graphic design, or video editing.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrable volume of organic social platform activity resulting in a significant lift in on and off-site customer engagement.
- Periodic (monthly or bi-monthly) contributions to tribal knowledge of customers.
- Timely execution of marketing/sales events and social campaigns.
- Demonstrable coordination with B2C Social efforts to build brand strength.
