YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Your schedule: Monday through Friday mornings or afternoons, along with some weekends.
· Operate in a safe and efficient fashion some or all the following equipment:
o Ranges, ovens, fryers, grills, griddles, food processors, slicers, mixers, outdoor cooking equipment, sinks, food warmers, storage & transport carts, exhaust hoods, and vacuum packaging machines.
· Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes.
· Keep work area neat and clean; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
· Complete food temperature checks before service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED / HSED) preferred.
- Superior knife skills.
- Certified in proper food handling, typically through a ServSafe Certification; preferred but not required.
- Good math skills with a clear understanding of cooking measurements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
· Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
· Ceruti’s chef jacket (provided).
· Black pants & black non-slip shoes.
· Hair restraint if applicable.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
· $17.00 or more per hour, depending on experience.
· Review at 60 days with $1 per hour increase potential.
· Merit advancement.
